Ash to Oak Spotlight: Spring Weddings

Spring weddings feel so romantic, as the blooms are brighter with new growth & the weather begins the warm up. This is the season our weekends begin to fill up with weddings again! Today, we are highlighting previous Ash to Oak spring weddings to give a glimpse into what this wedding season offers. We see most brides choose between clean, light , more traditional palettes, and colorful, brighter color palettes. Spring weddings are a fun opportunity to incorporate a balance of both the coolness of winter with the bright colors of summer. If you are a bride planning your spring wedding, we hope you can find some beautiful ideas below, as well as inspiration to break the mold & have fun with your spring wedding flowers, decoration, color palette & more.

Melissa & Ryan’s Wedding (above)

This rainy wedding was anything but dreary! With a clean, light color palette, we used creamy blooms in the wedding bouquets and then had fun designing with baby’s breath flowers for the wedding decorations. A classic wedding style, but with an added unique touch of the cloud-like baby’s breath arrangements.

Teresa & Jordan’s Wedding (above)

This spring wedding was actually a surprise wedding for the guests! So the couple wanted to keep things simple but still lovely. With plenty of lush greenery, we went heavy on the cream and white blooms in the bouquets with a subtle touch of light pink, and covered the wedding arch in white wedding flowers as well. Even in simplicity, you don’t have to compromise beauty.

Sadie & Kevin’s Wedding (above)

This spring wedding utilized the infamous cherry blossoms in DC. Spring is the perfect time to incorporate the bright colors of nature around you to add pops of colors to your wedding photos! This dreamy bouquet was a creamy color palette, with soft touches of blue wedding flowers.

Styled Shoot at the Tudor Place (above)

Give us all the intimate garden weddings! This grecian-styled shoot embraced simplicity with intentional details. We went a minimal route with this wedding bouquet, and greenery for the centerpieces. This is a great example of using pops of colors without overwhelming the vision. This shoot let the natural beauty of the venue speak for itself.

Spring Styled Shoot (above):

Okay, so technically this is not an actual wedding, but that’s what styled shoots are for- to offer inspiration! These bright colors give us all the happy spring vibes. We played with golden tones, light pinks, and bright yellow to showcase ways to incorporate bright color palette options for spring!
